Search Engine Optimisation is the art of presenting your site in such a way that search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and others will take a favourable view of your site and it’s content. SEO is however a challenging activity as it requires both technical expertise as well as good content. It is almost regarded as an art as not every search engine uses the same criteria and even if you do as much as you can to make your site comply, you’re still not guaranteed to feature in the top of the organic search results.
When it comes to search results, there are essentially two types: paid and organic. Being in the top ten or so organic search results is the goal for almost any website. These are the results that come up naturally because the search engine in question has determined that the content of the listed page is likely to satisfy the word, phrase or question the person is searching for.
